Local police issued a warrant for Carter's arrest on counts of reckless driving and racing, misdemeanor crimes in the state of Georgia that each carry potential fines of up to $1,000 and up to 12 months in jail. According to police, vehicles operated by Carter and another individual drove at high speeds and traveled against traffic near downtown Athens, with racing, reckless driving, speed, and alcohol intoxication contributing to the deaths of the two victims.
